THE ART OF PROTEST
Compound partnered with creative agency dotdotdash to host a groundbreaking virtual gallery experience The Art of Protest on July 17th at 7pm ET, in partnership with Jagermeister #savethenight campaign.
With social distancing as the new norm, Compound and dotdotdash has conjured Compound Gallery's vibe onto a virtual stage; creating a connective, mind-expanding experience to inspire both long-time Compound fans and newcomers to the fold.
The Art of Protest further highlights the other pandemic infecting the United States’ DNA: systemic racism and police brutality. This event honors and celebrates the bravehearts at the forefront of justice, protesting across the nation.
The Art of Protest Virtual Gallery Exhibition showcases photographs by a handful of Black and Latino photographers including Lenny S., Young Guru, David 'Dee' Delgado, Steven 'Sweatpants' Irby, Anthony B. Geathers, Ismail 'Calligrafist' Sayeed, Gabriella Angotti-Jones, and Saúl López.
Each photographer has offered a limited edition of prints of a powerful photograph chosen from their collection, sponsored by Moab Paper
A portion of proceeds will go towards Black Artist Fund, which collects donations to directly benefit individual black artists and black art organizations across the U.S.
